A PlayStation Showcase event will take place on May 24, Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced. The event will take place that Wednesday at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET.

“The show will run a bit over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world. Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators,” PlayStation said.

In terms of upcoming titles that could be on display, Sony could show Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Naughty Dog’s Last of Us multiplayer game, and any number of other titles. There could be unexpected announcements and additional surprises as well.

At the time, the report said this event would happen in the lead-up to E3 2023. That show is now canceled, but summertime gaming events are going ahead regardless.
